Located in San Leandro, Kaimanu Outrigger Canoe Club is dedicated to perpetuating the Hawaiian sport of outrigger canoeing. We are a part of the Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association (NCOCA). Kaimanu Outrigger crews participate in both sprint regattas and long distance races in the SF Bay Area, Monterey, Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. The six-man outrigger canoe season begins in February and runs through September. Sprint regattas are held during the summer months. During the winter, some of our paddlers participate in the WaveChaser race series. Come try it out. All ages are welcome and no experience is needed. More paddling info here. Practices are held at the San Leandro Marina.**Club practices begin February 13, 2010 at 8:30 am - all adult levels (experienced, novice, newbie) - rain or shine.**
